What Taylor Swift's Movie Taught Me about my Child, Siri!

I am not a big fan of Taylor’s music, although I like a few of her songs. I respect her more for her business skills. As a startup founder in the autism space there are a few lessons I need to keep in mind:

  1. Know your audience: Every single aspect of the music, story, dance and costumes were targeted toward a specific audience segment in making an emotional connection. Forget everyone else.

  2. Break the boundaries: Making a movie out of a concert and creating an extra channel of revenue is brilliant. It has been tried before, but not at this level of sophistication. You are in a concert, not a movie.

  3. Don’t be afraid: Taylor Swift took on the BIGs in the music industry, especially the rent seekers, to grow her business on her own terms. When you have your customers on your side, you can take big risks and make bold moves.

We are building a digital therapeutic for autism.
